Prevents congestion. Makes sense really during many parts of the day. Wish we had something like that here in Portland some days.

Or you could just do what Grand Rapids does and put a "no left turn" sign on those roads where it would cause a dangerous amount of congestion. This just seems hazardous.

Nah, because on weekends/late nights/etc set by timers it wouldn't cause congestion and should be allowed.
